Welcome to the Street Prophets Coffee Hour, where politics meets up with religion, art, science, and life. Come in, have a cuppa and a cookie (or three!), and join us. Michelewln has been here from time to time in the comments; we’re all going to be glad when she can bring back her art and recipes on Sundays.

Our weather is all over the place, and I’m never sure where we are in the planting calendar. It’s about the earliest possible time for mushrooms, and yet it’s been both too hot and dry, and now too cold. I planted tomato and pepper seeds in pots, so I could let them grow outside in the warm sun, and then I had to bring them inside for a couple of days because we’re down from mid 80s to near freezing. I’d go out to take pictures but I’m becoming weaker and having other health issues.
