Charles Martel Cabernet Sauvignon

Charles was a stranger to fame, preferring Bread and Cheese, accompanied by a vintage (immortalized by his grandmother) -- Cabernet Sauvignon. His wife, Rotrude (of Hesbaye) would coyly insist they'd already done it to avoid his amourous overtures, which gave rise to Brie de Meaux, Roquefort, Reblochon, Pont l'Évêque, as well as numerous grandchildren.

Let us raise a glass 🍷 to the aromas and flavors of black currant, cassis, black cherry and sometimes -- plum. Vive la France!
