Fox News settled with Dominion just as the trial was to begin. Fox agreed to pay $788 million, which is about 8 times Dominion's recent annual revenue.

Here is the statement from Fox News:

We acknowledge the court's rulings finding certain claims about Dominion to be false. This settlement reflects Fox's continued commitment to the highest journalistic standards. We are hopeful that our decision to resolve this dispute with Dominion amicably, instead of the acrimony of a divisive trial, allows the country to move forward from these issues.

Commitment to the highest journalistic standards? Should we laugh or cry? Here is my fake but true statement you would never hear from Fox:

We lied about the 2020 election because that is what our viewers wanted to hear and that is how we keep them watching Fox. Our business model is to make money by deceiving people and pandering to their prejudices. This is a normal business practice and we are no exception. Now we can put this problem behind us. Our loyal viewers will not wake up and will continue to help us make money.

The Fox News settlement says 2 things:

1. Fox will continue with business as usual: a legal criminal enterprise.

2. America is largely OK with this.
