Is this what has happened to our hospitals? It is downright appalling. [1]

Hit by driver that failed to even slow at red light. Be careful out there, please.

I will be brief and to the point. I am literally sick thinking about this. Just three days ago, my parents, in their 70’s, were in a severe car accident. Their Buick was hit by a driver running a red light, that driver failed to even slow, let alone stop. My parents car was mangled so badly, it was unrecognizable. My parents were severely injured and suffered injuries such as, broken vertebrae, broken ribs and sternum, collapsed lung, broken and sprained ankles, as well as numerous cuts and bruises.

Now to the sick part: my parents were taken by ambulance to a nearby big-name Magnet-designated hospital, and placed in wheelchairs in the waiting room, where they sat for hours before getting the care they needed. Are they serious? Is this some kind of sick joke? Placed in wheelchairs with these injuries and waited for care? Even the nurses, once they were finally cared for, were appalled. I took to google to begin my research on this “hospital”. When researching this “hospital”, it is one star review after one star review, all with similar complaints, as well as MANY other types of complaints. Is this what our medical system has come to? Is this our future, where we are left to die sitting in hospital waiting rooms? This is another sickening example that our country is broken. I can not help but think of an exit plan, I rather stay and fight, but how? There are so many fronts that must be taken I just don’t even know what to do. To know my parents were essentially left in a hospital waiting room to die has broken me like no other news to date. Do any of you have similar stories? Something must be done, this hospital was the only one within reach for them to go.
