Ghana- Happy Birthday Anabel [1]

I am seriously trying to cut back on my Ghana stories because I know not everyone is interested and I don’t want to bore people, but

John told me last night that today is Anabel’s birthday. He foolishly gave her the rest of his food money for the month because it was an ‘emergency,’ but that is John.

So Anabel made it to 4 years of age. Yey for Anabel. Very happy for her.

Just a little background, Anabel was unintentionally abandoned by her mentally ill mother and found by homeless street children who took her to John. John arranged for her to be taken care of in a shelter for children whose parents cannot care for them and she has been there since.

A week or so ago the matron of the shelter suggested that it was time to get Anabel into school but of course that takes money and funds are always limited. But we will try.
