This song does not fit those who have been here for thousands of years (American Indians).

It does not fit Africans brought here as slaves.

But it seems to fit the ancestors of everyone else here in the USA: English, German, Irish, Scottish, Chinese, East Indian, Jews from many countries, Vietnamese, Afghans, and, very recently, Ukrainians. And all others I missed.

This song is still valid today. Too many old white men, to this very day, are afraid to encourage those who are not white and male, to move ahead. Seems to me, they need to wake up, and let folks advance, when they try. As Biden did, with Kamala Harris and Ketanji Brown Jackson, and many others.

Such a great feel-good song!

That song is either silly fun, or very dark. I will take the silly fun.
