American BLU-82 daisy cutters are about 15,000 pounds. The US’s MOAB GBU -43B (Massive Ordnance Air Blast, or Mother of All Bombs) is about 21,000 pounds. The blast radius on a MOAB is a mile. It is deployed by a cargo plane because of its weight.. The glide bombs that were dropped “accidentally” on Belgorod were reported to be FAB-1500s, which carry 675 kilos of explosives. I say “accidentally” because there are suggestions the bombs were deployed intentionally with the intent to then fly to Kharkiv but the wings failed to deploy. x Sladkov says that Russia will soon begin dropping 3k and 5k kg glide bombs. He says 5-7 Russian aircraft drop UMPK bombs every day now but 30-40 will take part in bombing raids in the future. He says their range is 40km.https://t.co/5V2wAM5sHu pic.twitter.com/nGjrZNEva7 — Rob Lee (@RALee85) April 21, 2023 ----------------------------------------------------------------— There are some reports that Ukrainian troops have established a foothold on the east side (i.e. left bank) of the Dnipro River at Kherson. x These reports were indirectly confirmed by the Ukrainian spokesman of the Defense Forces of the South, who said that the Russian military is trying to cover itself with the local population of the Kherson region “on the new lines of defense.” https://t.co/Y2UpRFbqLk — Euromaidan Press (@EuromaidanPress) April 23, 2023 And then there are reports that say maybe not. So we’ll have to wait and see. x There has been information that Ukrainian Armed Forces have allegedly crossed the Dnipro river in Kherson region. He describes a sorry state of Aleksandr Nevskiy battalion: "Everyone is dirty and soaking... No weapons, no devices... Men figure out friendly positions by observing gun fire. It's a genocide of russians" pic.twitter.com/GBE4B8TFzc — Drosha 🇰🇿🇺🇦 (@drosha69) April 22, 2023 ------------------------------------------------------------------— There should be no peace agreement that does not include Russia returning all the children it has kidnapped from Ukraine. x At least 19,000 Ukrainian children were abducted by Russia. Only 361 of them have been brought back to Ukraine as of April 21. Here's what we know about Russia's kidnapping of Ukrainian children. https://t.co/0fnJQ5fGHa — The Kyiv Independent (@KyivIndependent) April 22, 2023 -------------------------------------------------------------------- The two videos below are heartwarming — one a soldier feeding a piglet and the other Ukrainian soldiers singing and dancing. The fact that Russian trolls on Twitter marked these as offensive tells you a lot. Martyn the Bull now has a home. x I just want to let you know that there is a TikTok channel of a 🇺🇦 soldier dedicated entirely to a bull named Martyn. Martyn lost his owners due to the war and more than a year lived next to the positions of 🇺🇦 military.
