In the realm of religious satire, this website was unique. Recently, I was enjoying a third run through all the stories illustrated on this website, having finished the Old Testament and moving right along through the New Testament. I wasn’t trying to read it all in one sitting, but simply reading one of her illustrated stories each day. A few days ago, I clicked on the usual link. I received the following notice: “Your connection isn’t private.” It went on to say that attackers might be trying to steal my passwords or credit card information. However, when I Googled “the brick testament,” McAfee said the website was safe. So, I clicked on the link that allowed me to go to the website anyway. Now I saw the following message: “Site Not Found.” There were a couple of links after that, but it was all too technical for me. I concluded that the website was probably just down for a few days. But after a week, the website was still unavailable. After “The Brick Testament,” my second favorite website for Bible study is “The Skeptics Annotated Bible” at skepticsannotatedbible.com. I remembered that it provided links to “The Brick Testament” in many of the corresponding chapters of the Bible. So, I went to that website, and lo, all the links to “The Brick Testament” were gone. Now, that is concerning. Why would “The Skeptics Annotated Bible” have purged all the links to “The Brick Testament”? I shall spare the reader all the paranoid conspiracy theories that popped into my head. Suffice it to say that I made a quick check to see if The Brick Bible, the book form of “The Brick Testament,” was still available, which it was. I confess to being a cheapskate, so I would rather not to buy the book if I don’t have to. And besides, I prefer being able to consult the website to looking through a book. Having reached this crossroads, I would appreciate any information anyone reading this might have to guide me in this matter.
