China is having a field day as the US and Russia spar over Russia's illegal invasion of Ukraine [1]

On the two factors affecting the China-EU relations: the Ukraine crisis and the influence of the US on Europe, Fu noted. "I want to emphasize that China maintains a long-term stable policy toward Europe and treat the region as strategic partner… The Europe (?) should not view the China-EU relations through the prism of the Ukraine crisis and sacrifice the China-EU relations and interests of China to develop its relations with the US," the Chinese diplomat said.

While the US and Russia are busy trying to resolve the issue of Ukraine’s independence, China is recruiting their allies. After Xi spent the last two months entertaining EU heads of state on Ukraine peace missions, his envoy to the EU finally tells us what the message is, “Europe should not view the China-EU relations through the prism of the Ukraine crisis.” Macron agreed. But, China is wise enough to understand that France and Germany are its only hope for splitting the alliance. Surprisingly, Hungary was not included in Xi’s effort to weaken the EU’s commitment to Ukraine.

On the US, aside from the routine propaganda, China is using the occasion of Biden's announcement for reelection to remind the rest of the world of our near total dysfunction. And, as with the best propaganda, it is based on an obvious truth. Newt Gingrich’s no compromise declaration in November 1994, set off a twenty-year march to dysfunction that has gone full circle back to the party of its origin, the GOP and rendered them totally dysfunctional. China’s prediction on a 45*-Biden rematch may not happen, but the way there is assured to be entertaining for the entire world.

As Putin prepares to defend against what we hope to be Ukraine’s final and decisive offensive in their drive to push Russian forces out of their country, Xi Jinping is holding the fourth China-Central Asia Foreign Ministers' Meeting to prepare for the first ever leaders summit:

China's Xi Jinping this week, (March 23, 2023), invited the leaders of the ex-Soviet republics of Central Aisa to a first joint summit in China, a bid to boost Beijing's influence in Russia's backyard

We can be sure, as it was with the Middle East, Global South and European Union peace meetings, this one will end with Xi clutching a fist full of signed agreements and the leaders of the six ex-soviet republics will have well documented handshakes.

Peace in Ukraine is not an issue for Xi Jinping or the Chinese Communist Party.
