TX teacher reprimanded for "teaching students" about their "legal and constitutional rights" [1]

“We’ve noticed an intentional attempt in teaching your students about their legal and constitutional rights.”

That is a very real thing you can now get punished for in the great state of Texas.

It’s not like Texas doesn’t have enough on their hands. Just look at today’s Rec list. I can’t help but notice that there’s a lot of scandal and oppression out of the Lone Star state today:

Well I guess I’m going to add one more to the pile today. Well done, Texas. You remind me that my home state of Florida is not the only state Republicans can make suck.

Long story short: a young teacher, Sophia DeLoretto-Chudy, was called to the district office after being pulled out of her classroom. Her offense was educating her students about their rights. Seriously. And they literally wrote her up just like that:
