The GOP has shown its true face again. The House has passed it’s demands to end the debt ceiling crisis by listing the people it wants to hurt – veterans, kids, schoolteachers and the list goes on – a 22% reduction in all discretionary spending, resulting in 750,000 lost jobs and increasing the deficit by $114 Billion over the next 10 years. They threaten to default on debts for money already spent, not reducing spending, roiling financial markets who worry that the GOP is BSC enough to actually do it this time. The last time they did this, our national credit rating was lowered.

The debt ceiling is pure and simple unconstitutional. The 14th Amendment to the Constitution requires the country’s bills to be paid. Everyone in Congress knows this. It is a tool for chaos and hostage taking. The debt ceiling was raised quietly three times for President Trump, but no, no, not for Biden – he has a D before his name.

The GOP is voting the way their owners want them to, not in the best interest of the country. Anyone who supports this attempt to hijack the country is a destructive, immoral hostage taker who is working against America and should be voted out of office.
