Matt Walsh and Tulsi Gabbard attempt to start a race war [1]

Last night, my YouTube feed showed me two very distinctive thumbnails: Jesse Dollemore, a left-leaning influencer, has a feature titled “Matt Walsh Says It’s Common for Black People to Hunt Whites”; and the Majority Report says “Tulsi Defends Subway Killer’s ‘Protector Mindset’”.

(Walsh cut his teeth at the Daily Wire; everyone here knows of Tulsi Gabbard.)

Either of these stories alone would be abhorrent and deserving of condemnation. Both are reckless and they endanger. However, these are being broadcast contemporaneously, to largely the same audience. Each message broadcast will in their own way reinforce and amplify the other.

The typical listener or viewer will be motivated to categorize Black people as threatening to his own person and to see himself as a potential protector, even to the point of strangling someone to death who posed no actual threat to them.

This is a murder recipe. This is how you conjure death.

Of course, telling someone that another group routinely participates in unfair behavior tends to evoke the same behavior in a retaliatory, tit-for-tat fashion, even if the story isn’t true in the slightest. The mere spreading of the story is a call for revenge.

The wrong—or the right!—audience member will respond by believing he has the right to attack preemptively, in the absence of actual threat or cause, and feel completely justified in his lethal action.
