potatoes growing in the ground in my kitchen garden

Most smallish home gardens concentrate on growing things that are best very fresh, are expensive in the stores, or are especially good homegrown, like tomatoes and salad greens, but if we’re interested in survival gardening, it might be a good idea to practice growing staple foods like potatoes. Plus, homegrown potatoes just taste better.

I’m experimenting with growing them in pots this year.

My pots are a little too small, but they’re what I have. We’ll see how it goes. (Obviously I can’t survive on a few pots of potatoes)
