Support gay rights? Help in boycotting the following list of companies. [1]

Many of our allies have joined us in a boycott that many of us gay folks follow, of chick fillet. Sadly though the one company is not alone.

Attached is a list of 243 other companies that preach or fund homophobia. The list is too long to cut and paste but if you go to it here you will find a very easy to read/search page of companies that it would be best to avoid.

Some companies on the list I would find no use to shop at in any event, but others surprise me.

Last Thursday, the HRC published its annual Corporate Equality Index, in which the group scores companies on their treatment of LGBTQ people. The index includes all Fortune 500 companies, the AmLaw 200 law firms, and hundreds of other publicly and privately held businesses that HRC chooses. The index is largely based on responses that the companies provide to an HRC survey, and when companies do not respond, the HRC relies on other forms of research.

No more dole fruit cups for me, thanks.
