REALITY WINNER (HBOMax) - Her Case Reviewed and Rethought About...How Does Donald Trump Compare? [1]

I recently watched the HBO(MAX) streaming show about Reality Winner's espionage sentence. I came away with a nauseated sense that Fox News had ruined another young person’s life and endangered America. Plus, I immediately sensed a missing element — tere should have been a comparison of her ‘crime’ to the lazy, no-care, ‘disloyal, money-focused stain of Donald Trump, who, even as President, demeaned military service as “losers.” In comparison, Ms. Reality Winner almost desperately wanted to rejoin the American military in an active combat zone, Afghanistan.

Almost immediately, my mind saw a gap in the show — that Donald Trump should have been an addendum to Reality’s story. Her espionage ‘deed’ (which was motivated by a desire, however legally misplaced, to serve her country). Her motivations contrast to the craven motivations of a damnable President, Donald Trump, who ‘mishandled’ classified documents for twisted personal ego or, more likely (IMO), monetary gain.

Ms. Winner’s responses to the 104 minutes of FBI questioning (interrogation) is an unsettlingly poignant viewer experience.

Like the FBI interrogators who seemed to want her to find a way for them to find leniency, I a viewer, felt an urgency for her to stumble on some explanation to avoid all the bad consequences she inevitably was led to.

I was particularly distressed, but not surprised, to learn that Fox News played a big part in unsettling her well-trained, analytical mind to the point where she had to commit the act of ‘espionage’. Reality Winner was sentenced to 5 years for espionage. I feel Trucker Carlson, Sean Hannity, Rupert Murdoch, Donald Trump, and other right-wing media and political actor-posers should have to share punishment for her mistake. (But, ‘Nay,’ they go on spoiling the air we breathe with their cynical lies.
