Insomniacs' Late Night Vent Hole - Pleasent News Edition [1]

June 6th, D-Day, my In-Laws anniversary and my wife and I’s anniversary, a day of disasters for sure. This would have been our 51st anniversary this year, had we stayed married and she had lived, she passed on just a few years ago. Where have the years gone? WWII was 80 some years ago, my military service was a bit over 50 years ago, my daughter turns 50 this year and my grandson in Washington state turns 29 this year, my great grandson turns 9! I am a 40 year old trapped in a 70 year old body with no escape, who would have thunk?

I am happy to say that I have been living in my camper, parked in my shop, for the entirety of this month. It is nice to be finally home even if I can’t enter the house without a respirator because it is toxic in there. No progress on the hopefully future house plans yet, still need to talk to a banker in a town 45 miles from here to get the “construction loan”. Speaking of which, my last loan for 5K made it’s final payment this month I own nothing to anyone for a brief period in my life. Still to come, massive debt that I may not live long enough to pay off, I may have to start buying lottery tickets!

Yesterday, there was a storm coming up from the south, as normal, it split as it reached my place and I didn’t get enough to settle the dust. West of me had a good shower, but east of me and over Great Falls was a sever thunderstorm with lots of lightning and I got to see it go by from 20 miles out. I’m glad I wasn’t in town to see all the street flooding, I’ve seen plenty of it there over the years.

Well, that’s all I’ve got for this week, it’s been mostly good news. I now return you to our regularly scheduled diary and open thread.
