It’s been a great and terrible week for the Rule of Law. The Donald* has been indicted for multiple felonies, and his defense so far is to incite violence. The “BOXES HOAX” has the potential to put him in prison. His heavily armed followers have the motive, means, and intent to kill many (more) innocents to prevent that.

It’s so much fun laughing at Trump while nervously waiting to hear gunshots, but we shouldn’t forget about the other two grand juries in DC.

One may be rendered moot by the Florida indictments, but the most damning case is still being heard: January 6th. I firmly believe The Donald will soon be indicted for seditious conspiracy and other crimes. The potential jail time will make the Florida case look like a parking ticket.

Jack Smith knows what he’s doing. Pundits have pointed out how risky it is to indict and try the case in Florida. The insurrection indictment will happen in DC, and it will be another thoroughly proven slam-dunk case. No single judge can stop Jack Smith from crushing Trump and his idiot counsel in at least one of those trials.

Meanwhile, Trump and his minions, in and out of elected office, are already doing their best to incite a civil war:

“If you want to get to President Trump, you are going to have go through me, and you are going to have to go through 75 million Americans just like me,” said Kari Lake, the Republican former candidate for governor of Arizona. “And I’m going to tell you, most of us are card-carrying members of the N.R.A.”

Buckle up, kids. Smoke ‘em if your state allows ‘em. It’s going to be great TV... if we survive it.

*I’m from Atlantic City. I’ve hated The Donald for 40+ years.
