Some of these are now available: The Electronic Nomad 2: Further Adventures Traveling the Country in a Converted Camper Van In May 2015, Lenny Flank locked the door of his St Petersburg FL apartment for the last time, climbed into his 2011 GMC Savana cargo van that had been fitted out with a homemade bed, sink, stove, and a solar panel for electricity, and set out to travel the country and live on the road. In the next seven years, he made his way from coast to coast, north in the summer and south in the winter. He visited over 100 cities in almost every state, logging enough miles to have traveled completely around the planet, several times. In 2017 he wrote a book about his travels, titled "The Electronic Nomad", which was part travelogue, documenting some of the interesting places he had seen and people he had met, and part guide, describing the basic equipment and methods that he used to live and work fulltime in the van while roaming about the country. This book, "The Electronic Nomad 2", is a continuation of those adventures. Today, the relics of that immense conflict still exist. Some of them are now forgotten ruins. Some of them are now in museums. Over the years, Lenny Flank has visited most of the available sites which commemorate America's Cold War nuclear history. This book is a chronicle of some of these nuclear displays and exhibits, and the history behind them. It is a cross-country tour that ranges from Florida to Washington, with stops in Arizona, New Mexico, Alabama, Ohio, Louisiana, Nevada, Mississippi, Tennessee, South Dakota, Connecticut, Kentucky, West Virginia, Georgia, South Carolina, and Illinois, and covers the decades from the 1940s to the 1990s. Here, at sites that were once some of the most super-secret places on the planet, tourists can now wander around with cameras and cellphones, taking snapshots for social media of weapons and equipment that were once capable of ending all of human civilization in the space of a single afternoon. This is their story. Illustrated. www.amazon.com/… Stasis At the end of the 21st century, the Earth lay devastated. Industrial pollution, overpopulation and climate change had left large areas uninhabitable. Bitter wars were fought for control of scarce resources, destroying entire countries and killing most of the global population. To save the human race, the United Nations gathered the remaining people into Safehouses, giant domed refuges where everyone was placed into a state of suspended animation, watched over by groups of clones called Caretakers and computerized robots called Artificials. Now, humanity has been sleeping for three thousand years, waiting for the time when long slow natural processes have healed the planet, and people can at last emerge from their stasis … www.amazon.com/… Dragon’s Bane When Freya, a skilled huntress, sets out to slay the dragon that has been terrorizing her village, she has no idea what lies ahead. Freya Haraldsdottir, a skilled huntress, and Ivar Torfinnson, a reluctant dragonslayer, never asked for their destinies. After vanquishing the dragon terrorizing their village, they longed to escape the burden of heroism and to seek solace in a peaceful life together. But fate had other plans. Vicious forces, led by the malevolent sorcerer Skulder of the Cult of Loki, seek to claim Ivar's magical Dragon's Bane Sword and unleash the spirit of the monster Grendel from the depths of Helheim. A relentless army razes their village, leaving Ivar, Freya, and the shattered survivors no choice but to flee to the treacherous ice mountains. Plagued by self-doubt, yet compelled to fight, Ivar and Freya set forth on a quest for aid. They seek the guidance of the wise High Priest of Odin and the stalwart Haldor, commander of the Huscarls. Together, they rally the Dvergen Dwarves, the ethereal Ljosalfar Light Elves, the indomitable Viking leader Erik the Red, and the legendary Jomsviking commander, Harald Hardrada. United against Skulder's dark forces, they make their stand within the fortified walls of a castle. And as they defend their sanctuary from Skulder's unholy enchantments and the Army of Loki, the reluctant heroes embark on a perilous journey into the realm of the dead. Their mission: to penetrate Skulder's fortress, confront the sorcerer, and prevent the resurrection of Grendel's body. In the crucible of adversity, Ivar and Freya discover that true heroism is not just about being the strongest or the bravest. It is about having the courage to face your own fears, to rely on your allies, and to fight for what is right. www.amazon.com/...
