PWB Peeps Open Thread: Sharks [1]

Top predators of the sea (though they may still take a back seat to orcas), they are descended from or related to the even more impressive Megalodon.

But sharks today come in all sizes and types.

shovelhead

spiny dogfish

thresher shark

whale shark, which lives on plankton

Greenland shark, which can live to be 400 years old, and does not reproduce until 150 years old.

tiger shark

hammerhead shark

whitetip shark with pilotfish

some are small enough you need not be afraid of their side-eye.
