"There was a hit on their location, and now all of them have a concussion," shares a dog trainer Vadym over very loud barking in the background. He is talking about the service dogs which have been hospitalized for three months now in the first — and currently the only — military veterinary hospital in Ukraine.

There are numerous examples of Russian cruelty and disregard for civilians in this war. It’s no different for animals, wild or domestic.

Empathy for animals is one of the big difference between the Ukrainian and the Russian people.

Animals have PTSD too.

Some are available for adoption, even some with amputated limbs.
