Saturday Morning Home Repair open thread edition [1]

Good Morning

Today I am going to make a solar water heater. to start I will put ball valves above the existing gas tank, no since in running the water thru that!

I bought a 100’ roll of 1 ¼” black poly, I will put it on the roof over the tank, then run it thru a window. I’ll fill the window hole with plywood! I’ll even put a drain in this so I can shut it down when winter sets in! I am going to lay it on PT 2x4s & make it stay there! I’ll make it so I can add another roll if I runout of hot water! The calculator says the roll holds 6.38 gallons.

What are you up to?

I’ll take a shower around 6pm!
