Happy Last Day of July, everyone!

Well, I spent this entire weekend in the United States, and I still don’t know what’s going on.

I actually spent a good deal of that time reading about early independence Bahamian politics, though, if you want to talk about that. One of my old college professors turns out to have been the leader of a minor (and relatively unsuccessful) socialist party from the mid-1970s into the 80s. So that’s kind of funky! I spent the weekend reading from his 1980 manifesto.

A manifesto! Me!

But first thing’s first: Greg Dworkin will come in to talk about America. Because America first! Although it’s also possible that Ukraine or Israel may be first, instead.
