Pat yourself on the back, you "creaky old" "obsolete" Constitution! [1]

You did it! WE did it! Remember what a Constitution is: not just a document, not even all the case-law flowing from that document, but the totality of the system spawned therefrom. Not just our Federal system, but every single state system, and every single elected and appointed official in this country---these are all parts of our Constitution.

And all these parts have held firm. We need to remember this. Not one judge, no matter by whom appointed. Not one state legislature, regardless of its party makeup. Not one official actually succumbed to Trump’s pressure, even while he was still president. No fake electors were actually counted. No vote totals were changed. Not a single action by those who sought to steal the 2020 presidential election ever bore legal fruit.

Our system, our Constitution, has HELD. Those who had a job to do, to make that the case, have done it. Look around the world, folks. In how many countries would that have been the case in this situation?

So before you call for our Constitution to be replaced—as many here have done—think. Think of the vital system that is REALLY the Constitution, that has grown and knitted itself together over more than 200 years. And be proud. Maybe just for one day, but BE PROUD.
