America's Car Museum: Some trucks (photo diary) [1]

The LeMay—America’s Car Museum in Tacoma, Washington has several trucks on display. A few of them are shown below.

1922 Olympic 2 ½ Ton Truck

The Olympic Motor Truck Company operated in Tacoma, Washington from 1920 to 1942. It has a 4-cylinder engine with 28.9 horsepower.

1924 Ford Model T Roadster Pickup

This vehicle has a 4-cylinder, 176.7 cubic inch, 20 horsepower engine with a 2-speed planetary transmission.

1946 Ford Half-ton Pickup

This vehicle has a V8, 219 cubic inch, 100 horsepower engine with a 3-speed manual transmission.

1947 Studebaker M15 One-ton Pickup Truck

This vehicle has a 6-cylinder, 169 cubic inch, 80 horsepower engine with a 4-speed manual transmission. It sold for $1,330. A total of 6,738 M15 pickups were manufactured in 1947.

1951 Chevrolet Pickup

This vehicle has a 6-cylinder, 216.5 cubic inch, 85 horsepower engine with a 3-speed manual transmission.

1953 Willys Overland Model 475 4x4 ½ Ton Pickup

This vehicle has an inline 4-cylinder, 134 cubic inch, 72 horsepower engine with a 3-speed manual transmission. Willys introduced a pickup truck based on the Willys Jeep Wagon in 1947.

1955 Chevrolet 3600 LWB ¾ Ton Pickup Truck

1972 Chevrolet El Camino Pickup Truck
