Russia just can’t catch a break vis NYT:

Russia’s Lunar Lander Crashes Into the Moon The robotic Luna-25 spacecraft appeared to have “ceased its existence” after a failed orbital adjustment, the space agency Roscosmos said.

In general, I’’m a sci-fi fan and don’t relish celebrating when an act of space exploration fails. But given that Russia is cash strapped right now due to numerous sanctions, and the last thing Putin needs is looking like he is wasting precious currency on expensive propaganda thrills, I am relishing a little. I do hope all the head engineers do stay away from the windows though.
