Sarkozy exposed as a Putin "influencer"" [1]

It was already well known that Putin was bankrolling Marine Le Pen's far right party in France, an=sd it likely played a part in her electoral defeat when Macron used it in their TV debate. Today we found that ex-president Nicolas Sarkozy from the right wing party Les Republicains is also a Putin asset, or “influencer” as the media called it.

There many articles on line but here is a link to the one that appeared in The Guardian.

Leaks from the French DGSE (the French CIA) have also mentioned Trump as a Russian asset since 2014. The Republicans’ supine acquiescence of that traitor's subservience to the Russian dictator is the greatest current danger to our Western Democracies.

Fortunately, in France, Sarkozy was tried and condemned (5 years, 2 suspended) for a variety of illegal campaign finance felonies and now is assigned at residence with an ankle bracelet and has been declared ineligible. So at least here that snake has been defanged.
