REAL Letters: Thinking Independently NOT Crime! [1]

Greetings, Secretary Cardona,



You have the honor of holding an esteemed position. Congratulations.



Sir, I actually learned to think when I was in school! That's what excellent teachers do-TEACH their students to LEARN! Why else do they hold esteemed jobs such as yours? Are they/you merely publicly-subsidized time wasters and baby sitters? That's up to you, sir.



It should not be a crime to think independently. What true Citizen can possibly support self-appointed thought-police ordering innocent students to not think?



Censorship isn't in the best long-term interests of the United States of America. Any educated person knows that! Thus, I am deeply concerned about eliminating ground-breaking literature, past, present, and future (if we are to have one). Banning Shakespeare? Christian Bible? Zen Flesh, Zen Bones? Quaran? Book of Mormon? Lao Tzu? Maus?



Burning books is the true obscenity-NOT thinking. Purposeful ignorance is nothing more than collective madness.



If President Biden is a genuine leader, he MUST support intellectual freedom. Must I now pinch myself? Is Biden really from the party of our last openly intelligent president, John Fitzgerald Kennedy? Or, does Biden tacitly encourage ignorance and unConstitutional insurrectionism, such as that bleated by former president, the Donald? Or, perhaps even worse, will Biden allow putsch by complicit Guantanamo torturer, the racist DeSantis?



We will now discover what happened to President Biden's hopeful June promise to appoint an "anti-book ban" coordinator. To date, Biden simply hasn't delivered--Copping out, just as presidential candidate Obama, who "forgot" the primary campaign promise that got him elected: Closing the Horror of Guantánamo.



Do Democrats stand for anything at all?



Secretary, the U.S. Department of Education must defend education, or it has to be abolished.



Why bother having an education department that fails to support education? Madness!



Wake up! Smell the morning joe, Joe! For God's sake, students must have access to diverse and inclusive opinions, or they will never learn to think. This no-brainer is today paramount.



Will the United States have future leaders who are STUPID? God forbid! It's time to take a stand!
