So what is so special about August 27th? I have a few examples. You add your own. [1]

Welcome to the Street Prophets Coffee Hour, the place where politics meets up with religion, art, science, nature, and life. Come in, take a cuppa and a cookie (or three!) and join us.

I enjoy odd things, things that other people might not like so much—or at all. One thing I really like is looking at other people’s vacation pictures. It’s someplace I’ll never get to go, so I want to get the idea of what they saw and did.

Another thing I like is OTD (On This Date) posts, whether on social media or other websites. I liked it when it was a tiny filler item in the daily newspapers. I like it now when it’s a feature on online sites.

Here are a couple for August 27th, from Xitter. (Yes, I’m still there. I’m on several other social media sites, too, but I have too many connections to the former bird app, so I’ll be on deck playing the violin as that ship sinks.) I know not everyone has Xitter (I have my own way of pronouncing that; it’s a Chinese sounding X, right?) so if you can’t click through, I’ll follow with a screen shot, but the thread is worth reading (to me; YMMV).
