Kitchen Table Kibitzing ~8.28.03 [1] ['This Content Is Not Subject To Review Daily Kos Staff Prior To Publication.'] Date: 2023-08-28 Sure, that’s a lovely clock table but the thing is, I don’t need to know what time it is, that’s pretty easy to guess. You’ve got the sun, the moon, the light, highway traffic noise, etc. I have more of a challenge with what day it is. I never know and that’s a big problem for me. This is what I need at my house. Other problems I have are with the temperature. It’s been one hundred degrees outside for over a week. The desk where I work in my house is right by a floor vent and it’s freezing, so cold my nose felt cold. I got up to look at the thermostat and it said 78 degrees. I’m cold in 78 degrees?!? And how did it get to that temp? I usually keep it between 74 and 76. I left it alone and put a sweater on and covered the vent. When I leave, I put it down to 77 so it’s not so hot for my dogs. That’s not such a bad problem to have, my electric bill is going to look great. We had 2 days of rain which cooled our temps down to 80’s. That was lovely but the other day I woke up hot and soaking wet. I woke up without moving and realized all 3 cats were touching me. One was lying on my feet, one on my stomach, and Tinker, who has his own pillow to sleep on, had one paw on my head. Both dogs were curled up against me. I had just read that Red Heelers are not cuddlers. My dogs must have missed this tidbit due to the trauma early in their lives. I got up to check the thermostat and it was at 74 degrees. I lowered it to 72 and went back to bed. Again, not a bad problem to have. Can one ever be too cuddled? El Lel Fect and Tinker Oh, sure, they “cuddle” with each other. I also have a problem that my lawn guy quit. I bought a mower and weedwhacker, but I will admit they are still in the boxes they came in. I just can't care about the lawn. There are these beds close to my house that have gone wild too, and I can't care about that either. The flower trees dropped seeds down and they are now blooming in that area. I mean, really not bad problems to have at all. What about you? Got any good bad problems? Plus, I’m binge watching a TV show with a great theme song, so I never skip ahead.
