We DON’T Need to Care About Vivek [1]

There’s a lot of concern about what professional troll and pretend presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy would do as president. There should be none, because that man is not going to get the Republican nomination.



Before we dismiss this possibility out of hand, let’s look at his strengths:

He’s a man. Republicans love men. 100% of their nominees have been men.

He’s a troll. Republicans love trolls. Trump is their greatest troll, but this guys pretty good. He’s triggered a lot of liberals!

He’s got money. Republicans like money.



So far so good! But let’s consider his weaknesses.

He’s not a white man. Uh oh. 0% of Republican nominees for president weren’t white men.

He’s not a Christian man. Uh oh. 0% of Republican nominees for president weren’t Christian.

So we’ve got some pluses and we’ve got some factors that are almost certainly disqualifying. Republicans love minorities, as entertainment. As human shields when they’re accused of racism. As tokens, like when Trump put Doctor Ben Carson in charge of Housing and Urban Development. They don’t love them in positions of actual power. Remember the last Republican House Speaker that wasn’t a white man? I don’t! Republican minority Senate Leader? No, don’t remember that either. Last time they nominated a minority to SCOTUS was thirty years ago.

Vivek Ramaswamy has some terrible ideas, just like the rest of them. But he’s not getting the nomination. If he gets the VP nod it’ll be because Trump thinks he’ll be pliable, something he’ll demand of any possible VP. Trump won’t , however, share any actual power with his VP, and may even get him killed. Ramaswamy is a troll and what do you do with trolls? Ignore them.
