Perhaps one of the silver linings of the COVID epidemic has been the crystal clear documentation of the correlation between increased risk and GQP (the gentilemen quotient party). There is a lot of generalization in this country about the relation between policies and outcomes. This lack of facts, data, etc. is the difference between an ignorant (and/or willfully ignorant) electorate and the informed variety. We should all recognize “plausible deniability” becomes a powerful “moral hazard” when the citizens have nothing but opinion to work with. Let the sunshine in!!

While it is difficult to offer a synopsis or summary of the lengthy article, I’ve chosen this pithy bit...

“So large are the regional gaps that the poorest set of counties in predominantly blue Yankee Northeast actually have higher life expectancies than the wealthiest ones in the Deep South. At a population level, a difference of five years is like the gap separating the U.S. from decidedly unwealthy Mongolia, Belarus or Libya, and six years gets you to impoverished El Salvador and Egypt.”

This “bad hombre” puts a whole new spin on the “6 degrees of separation” which is supposed to unite our world AND he PROVES that much of the US is comparable to the “third world”… which means he PROVES that many of those same areas have been and still are (post COVID) the strongest supporters of the flea-bit peanut monkey whose party (party of one?) is diametrically-opposed to their well being and good fortune.

Put that in your pipe and smoke it! Then pass it around… ;)
