Most of us knew Jimmy Buffett as a recording artist. Many also knew him as the owner of the Key West bar that attracts Parrotheads from the world over. But Buffett was more than a musician. He built an empire that included restaurants, apparel, casinos, a beer label, and even a retirement community. He was also an environmentalist and a supporter of the Democratic Party.
