The terrible record of John Breaux, one of the "Democrats" trying to fight a wealth tax [1]

Recently, many headlines have reported about efforts to fight a potential wealth tax at the Supreme Court. One of the politicians which has been involved in this effort is former Senator from Louisiana and DC lobbyist John Breaux.

John Breaux is often treated as impartial by mainstream media. However, his real record shows that he is not a real Democrat, and stood with Republican extremists and special interests in key times in his career:

Voted to confirm the nomination of Clarence Thomas. Clarence Thomas is hard at work bringing America back to the 1950s and has voted in lockstep with MAGA radicals at the Court.

Voted in favor of the job-killing NAFTA agreement.

Supported Republican efforts to repeal the estate tax.

Supported the Bush Tax Cuts, which are still responsible for the huge US deficit.

Was the lone vote against a law that would increase fines for obscene, indecent or profane language.

Has been a lobbyist for huge D.C firm Squire Batton Boggs since 2005.

Listed his primary address in Maryland for several years.

Serves on the board of directors for huge transportation company CSX Transportation.

Co-Chair of President Bush’s 2005 Tax Reform Commission.

Teamed up with Trent Lott to cofound a lobbying firm, Breaux Lott Leadership Group.

His location is listed as DC at the speakers bureau that represents him.
