Campaign To Demonetize YouTube Channels Commenting On Ukraine [1]

I watch several YouTube channels who aggregate news on Ukraine. Two of them, one British and one American are being demonetized because of copyright claims sent from the same +91 number in India. I will not give the full number but it ends ...2181 to identify it for other Ukraine content creators.

This appears to be a concerted effort to make these content creators give up posting because of lack of income. For several this is now their main income and removing advertising and their videos from view is devastating. One video showing only the creator reading a nursery rhyme got a copyright strike. One creator has a very expectant wife and is due to become a father in the near future. The owner of the Indian phone number claims to be a student however WhatsApp shows this to be a business number.

If you have been unable to access a YouTube channel you normally keep up to date about Ukraine, try going to one in your history and go to the front page of the channel from there.

The same telephone number in India being used to report YouTube videos made about Ukraine by creators in the US and UK is not a coincidence, however much the guy at the other end pleads innocence. This is Russian cyber war.
