I missed watching the actual vote as I was on Amtrak heading back home from DC for my annual meetings on the Hill. It was nice to be able to walk the halls of Congress again though it was touch and go with the looming shutdown.

I am dedicating tonight’s Top Comments diary to celebrating the ousting of the smarmy, sniveling Kevin McCarthy from the role of Speaker of the House. Feel free to add your glee in the comments. Also feel free to say some words about how loser Kevin and various Republicans keep blaming Democrats for all of their failings.

My one comment is about Brendan Buck, who should be banned from MSNBC for his ridiculous tweet and statement earlier today, putting this at the feet of Dems. Someone must have wised him up because he made no mention of his utter idiocy on Alex Wagner’s program tonight.
