Ukraine Invasion Day 588: Russian propaganda outlets have begun fiercely criticizing the letter 'Z' [1]

The Ukrainian General Staff reported on October 3 that Ukrainian air defenses downed 29 of 31 Shahed drones and one Iskander-M cruise missile targeting Mykolaiv and Dnipropetrovsk oblasts.[26] Russian sources, including the Russian MoD, claimed that Russian forces struck an industrial enterprise near Pavlohrad, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.[27]

Kremlin propagandists have launched a campaign against the letter Z

Russian propaganda outlets have begun fiercely criticizing the letter Z, which has become a symbol of Russia's invasion of Ukraine. This letter was used everywhere, propagandists were proud of it, Russian military made "Z" patches. Russian patriots proudly called themselves Z-patriots, and Putin spoke publicly under this symbol.

Today, suddenly everything changed for them. It all started with a publication in the channel of the chauvinistic ideologue of the "Russian World" Alexander Dugin, where he said that the letter "Z" is a "bad symbol and a PR fake" that "means nothing." Now Russians should die not for "Z", but for "Holy Rus'.

"This wave of criticism was immediately picked up by other Russian propaganda media, some of them not even shy in their expressions."

Those propaganda resources that supported Dugin, in their publications noted that the letters Z and V indicate the defeat and shameful condition of the Russian army or even associated with the initials of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

There was also a comment that "Z - is really a swastika for impotent people. It is a symbol of shame of the Russian invincible soldier," Russian "patriots" (no longer Z) wrote.
