No, the Democrats did Not Vote to Oust McCarthy [1]

The Democrats did not assist or aid in McCarthy's departure as Speaker. McCarthy was voted out of office by 8 members of the GOP. The Democrats, however, simply refused to help him since, as recently as this past Sunday, he went on talk shows to degrade, attack, and blame Democrats for his own miserable failures. Then after he became the first Speaker in US History to be voted out by his own party, he immediately did the same while absolving himself of any responsibility.

When McCarthy made a Faustian deal with the bottom of the Congressional GOP’s barrel to receive his gavel, his ouster was something so many of us had clearly predicted. There was absolutely no surprise. The only question was when. Keep in mind, too, that McCarthy's greatest sin was that he dared try to work with Democrats no matter how minimally that was done. It is not possible to govern by either party without working with the other. But to govern has never been in the interest of either McCarthy or the MAGA GOP to whom he was beholden.

That the nothing Matt Gaetz, who has no plan or thought towards moving forward but to get himself more TV time, was able to facilitate this clusterfuk is further demonstration of the unconditional failure of the GOP. And that the GOP House continues to take it’s commands from the disgraced, violent insurrectionist, twice impeached, four times criminally indicted now with a gag order in one, liable for sexual assault and defamation, in violation of the Espionage Act, one term, ex president Trump demonstrates the abject debasement of the GOP.

Putting the racist Steve Scalise or the freaking moron Gym Jordan in the Speaker's role won't make a damn bit of difference at this point. McCarthy followed the MAGA playbook almost to the line following his self-degradation to Trump at Mar-a-Lago in 2021. But we all knew it wouldn't be enough to keep his new job. Well, all of us, it seems, but the mainstream media who is now absolutely 'shocked.'

And this was even after it became widely known that McCarthy was, I believe, the only member of the GOP Congress who called Trump directly on January 6th to get him to call off his insurrectionist thugs. McCarthy knew exactly who was responsible. He did not call the National Guard, Nancy Pelosi or Chuck Schumer. He called Trump directly…who ignored his entreaties.

Then, without missing a beat, McCarthy immediately debased himself at Mar-A Largo to apologize to the criminal insurrectionist, Trump, to get his gavel. Even then it took an unprecedented 15 tries. The organized crime styled GOP's decline and deep failure will sadly continue until they are voted out in 2024. The one hope is that the Democratic Senate and White House can help to minimize any further damage by the GOP House to include not allowing an interruption of critically needed and vital aid to Ukraine.
