More Russian stuff blowing up, plus Russian attack on crowded store and cafe kills 51 [1] ['This Content Is Not Subject To Review Daily Kos Staff Prior To Publication.'] Date: 2023-10-05 A Russian Iskander missile struck a grocery store and cafe in the village of Groza (also called Hroza) where a wake was being held, killing at least 51 people, including a 6-year-old girl. The photos from the scene are just horrendous, showing bodies being taken outside and spread on the ground. Grozna is west of Kupyansk and had a pre-war population of about 500. There were reports that Ukraine was investigating whether a local resident worked with Russia on targeting. I also saw one report that said Russia claims they were attacking a gathering of soldiers. x Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko clarified the attack with more details. "It was a store, next to a cafe. There were local residents in the store, there were also locals in the cafe, where the memorial service for a local fellow villager was held. Bild also reported that in an internal meeting last week, Chancellor Olaf Scholz told parliament’s foreign affairs committee that Taurus missiles were not comparable to France’s SCALP or Britain’s Storm Shadow cruise missiles as those countries contribute geodata on targets directly themselves and are involved with their own personnel. A spokesperson for the chancellery said there were no new updates regarding the issue of Taurus cruise missiles for Ukraine despite efforts of British government officials to persuade Germany to send missiles to Ukraine. In this piece, a Russian writer outlines how to break Ukrainian resistance once they take over the entire country. It would make Machiavelli proud in its cold-bloodedness. x Russian "writer" Aleksey Sukonkin describes his vision for the future of Ukraine: he predicts the repeat of the 1950s anti-Soviet underground movement, and suggests that Russia has rich experience in eliminating resistance. He… pic.twitter.com/UBXzlA6z8J — Dmitri (@wartranslated) October 5, 2023 Here I would like to add that the method of destroying the underground resistance has not been worked out anywhere in the world as well as in Russia (USSR). We have a RICH experience in this matter. When the military phase of the SMO ends, when the Russian armed forces sweep across the entire territory of Ukraine and crush military resistance, it will be the turn of counter-guerrilla warfare. The West will long and persistently support Bandera's supporters, and the population will also be on the side of their partisans. Attempts to establish Soviet power will run into fierce resistance for a long time - many commanders will die. However, practice shows that in conditions of devastation and chaos, people cannot live for long, and they begin not only to adapt, but also to change the environment to suit themselves. I am sure that access to the border in these territories will be closed - so that they could boil in their own juice and watch how peaceful life is restored in the eastern territories, which have accepted the rules of the game. After this, the civilians will begin to hand over the militants. If earlier, after the Second World War, contact with the special services could be tracked quite easily and the informant would be punished, now, with the development of communications and social networks, this can be done absolutely painlessly for the informant - not a single militant will know who leaked it. Consequently, the process will go faster than in the 40-50s. And it is clear that establishing the location of a specific person is now a hundred times easier than before. It is clear that the authorities will take the responsibility of organising the entire social sphere and everyday life, while the people people, whether they like it or not, will join the "imposed conditions of peaceful life." School programs - it is clear what they will be. How soon? To achieve everything - about 20 years. The active phase is about seven years. During this time, the Bandera movement, as a mass phenomenon, will come to naught, it will lose the obvious support of the population (no one has repealed the article for aiding terrorism) and, according to the classics, will be forced to switch to the path of banditry.
