Rep. Santos' Treasurer Pleads Guilty to Campaign Finance Fraud [1]

Well..well..well..

As I highlighted in this diary, running through the FEC reports can expose suspect and possibly criminal activity.

The Treasurer for the Santos campaign (and Zeldin’s) just pleaded guilty to various campaign finance crimes.

It will be interesting to see if her testimony is needed against Santos.

UPDATE:

In the comments, some people helpfully posted links to other parts of this unrelated to the bogus campaign spending, which include possible money laundering, all with Santos’ apparent involvement.

So a superseding indictment incoming in 3...2….1..

The potential new charges have sentences of a decade or more, so this will really put the heat on Santos now.
