Trump caves and dismisses half billion dollar case against Michael Cohen [1]

As per Michael Cohen and Miedas Touch:

On Thursday evening, Donald Trump voluntarily dismissed his $500 million lawsuit in the Southern District of Miami against his former attorney and host of Political Beatdown on the MeidasTouch Network, Michael Cohen.

Trump filed the lawsuit back in April and has spent the last several months trying to avoid his deposition that was promptly noticed by Cohen. Trump had tried to avoid the deposition for months, and finally it was scheduled for October 9. One the methods used by Trump to avoid his deposition was by telling the federal judge he would be attending the New York Attorney General civil fraud case all week. Trump attended only 2 and 1/2 days of trial in New York before throwing a temper tantrum and leaving. Trump filed the voluntary dismissal without prejudice, giving him the option to bring the case again if he so chooses. It would be unsurprising if Cohen seeks massive sanctions against Trump

My thoughts on this:

Although Trump tried to use his New York Fraud trial to escape his October trial obligations in the Cohen case, he soon realized he could not avoid giving a deposition forever. Dude caved.

In response to Trump dropping the case, Ben Meiselas advised his friend on-air to sue Trump for bringing wrongful legal action against him via sanctions.

Ha! Trump brought a SLAPP against Michael Cohen, only to potentially get slapped back.

I mean, love or hate the guy, what Trump was doing to Cohen was wrong, and I am glad the ex-POTUS may get a dose of his own medicine.
