CNBC is reporting here that Trump wants the DC presidential election interference lawsuit dismissed because of “presidential immunity”. WTF???

I did not realize that trying to overturn an election is a presidential act

Donald Trump on Thursday asked a federal judge in Washington, D.C., to dismiss his election interference indictment, claiming he is protected from prosecution in that case by presidential immunity. Trump’s lawyers argued that the acts he is charged with in the case were part of his official presidential duties.

Welcome to the Northern version of a Banana Republic. Fascism is now a full throated claim in US Federal Court. Harkens back to the Nixon "Well, when the President does it, that means that it is not illegal."
