Another Saturday Night - October [1] ['This Content Is Not Subject To Review Daily Kos Staff Prior To Publication.'] Date: 2023-10-07 Welcome to Another Saturday Night of music, memories, and conversations. I wanted the first ASN diary of October because there’s a U2 album and song…. And yes, I am just a little fond of them. But there are other October songs, I found a lot. Starting off with the moody, contemplative one from my boys: Total mood switch to Amy Winehouse - October Song, about her canary that died, I know -but trust me, it’s a happy song. Such an amazing voice, and she wrote a song about her canary. And there’s a band called Blue October, I picked one at random - I Hope You're Happy It does seem wrong for an Austinite to have a music diary today and not talk about the Austin City Limits Festival. It is gigantic, and has lots of good music. You can watch it on Hulu, and they even let you have a free 7 day trial. I am really looking forward to Hozier tomorrow. Scheduled hosts: 10/14: Janesaunt 10/21: theghostofjohndewey We need people for the 28th and on into November — come on, y’all that Halloween one practically writes itself. If you like music enough to visit this diary, you can write and host one. Gentle reminder: Please continue to put the name of your selection in your comment along with your song. Those of us on our phones? We really appreciate it. So, put your quarter in the slot and your song in the comments. You know how this works — This is your Saturday night jukebox and the party starts... NOW~!
