The war between Hamas and Israel is beneficial to Russia, as it diverts the attention of the international community from the war in Ukraine.

Hamas is a terrorist organization. Putin's Russia is a terrorist organization. Iran's theocrats support both Hamas and Russia. They all collaborate. Israelis, Ukrainians, Americans & the entire democratic world must deepen their collaboration to defeat this terrorist… pic.twitter.com/ypLEHLUMKi

I have not implicated Russia. I have merely pointed out that Putin supports Hamas. That is a fact. Now would be an excellent moment for Russia to change policy. pic.twitter.com/ZU5p7911CK

Today would be an excellent day for Putin to (1) cut off all ties with Hamas, (2) formally designate Hamas as a terrorist organization, and (3) encourage his allies in Tehran to do the same. (If it has already happened today and I missed it, send links, and I'll praise Putin.)

Russian Subordinate Main Effort #1 – Luhansk Oblast (Russian objective: Capture the remainder of Luhansk Oblast and push westward into eastern Kharkiv Oblast and northern Donetsk Oblast)

Russian forces continued offensive operations in the Kupyansk area on October 8 and reportedly recently advanced. ...ISW has observed no confirmation of this claim, however. Other Russian milbloggers claimed that Russian forces attacked near Petropavlivka (7km east of Kupyansk), Synkivka, and Kyslivka (20km southeast of Kuypyansk) on October 8. [29] The Ukrainian General Staff reported that Ukrainian forces repelled multiple Russian attacks near Synkivka and Ivanivka (20km east of Kupyansk). [30] Ukrainian Eastern Group of Forces Spokesperson Captain Ilya Yevlash stated that Russian forces have increased their use of aviation in the Kupyansk-Lyman direction to support increased offensive operations in these areas and compensate for their lack of artillery. [31]
