Ghana- Update on Pregnant Nigerian Girl [1]

Yesterday I wrote a brief story about a seventeen year old Nigerian girl who came to my friend John in Ghana asking for help. She is nine months pregnant and was asking for basic food, shelter, and help with the hospital fees for the delivery of her child.

This morning John sent me some more details and I wanted to update everyone.

In the first place, her first name is Favour. John had confused her first and last name when he first wrote. So that mystery is solved.

john said that she had been working as a hairdresser assistant but had to quit when she got pregnant. The child’s father ran away to Kumasi and left her abandoned.

She has been living under a table on the beach in Accra.

I am not sure what we can do but we will try to help.
