Netanyahu Loses A Lot of Israeli Support - New Poll Results [1]

When the Hamas massacre first happened several days ago, I believed that it would greatly impact Netanyahu’s favorability among Israelis and lead to the demise of his leadership. It was really just something like an educated guess. I posted about it in comments and got some valid pushback along the lines that Israelis would come together and support him under the circumstances.

While there is now something of a unity government, polling is revealing that indeed Netanyahu has taken a very big hit that may prove difficult to survive.

I have no idea of a timetable and all polls reflect a snapshot of just a moment in time. However, Netanyahu’s ability to stay in power has always been predicated on his ability to convince the Israeli public that he was best suited, or perhaps even the only one, that could guaranty their security. Enough of the Israeli public believed this to be true to allow Netanyahu to cobble together a coalition of the unlikely to cling to power.

Instead of making this a more lengthy diary, I thought it best to publish the information and let everyone else fill in the gaps with their comments as I will try to do myself as time permits.
