Free Slogans for Today’s Republican Leaders to Use [1]

Taking stock of the monstrous conduct of most Republicans in the halls of government is by turns alarming and deeply depressing. The indicted, felonious, insurrectionist, scary clown who will carry their banner in the presidential election. The vacancy of key ambassadorships in countries like Israel that are at war, held up by racist ex-football coaches. The ongoing efforts to shutter our government. The goal of abandoning Ukraine so it can fall to Putin and facilitate his next moves against the free world. Intolerance. Patriarchy. The race to pour gasoline on environmental protections and climate initiatives that aim to mitigate the present collapse of Earth’s ecosystems and therefore our ability to live here.



I could go on, but for now I’d like to share some slogans that might be helpful for the Republican cause. Liz Cheney, Mitt Romney, and Adam Kinzinger should not use these. They have at least shown principled leadership and fealty to our country, if not ideas I can agree with. Does anyone know how their campaigns are going? They must be doing well, right?

Slogans:

🇺🇸 FEED THE RICH

🇺🇸DRILL BABY, DRILL!

(Sorry, sources are telling me this has already been used. Breathtaking.)

🇺🇸HATE DOES ACTUALLY HAVE A HOME HERE

🇺🇸I DON’T LIKE TAXES. NOTHING ELSE MATTERS.

🇺🇸WE CONTROL YOUR UTERUS ASSUMING THAT EVER COMES UP IN YOUR LIFE

🇺🇸ANGER, RAGE, PROPAGANDA, AND ASSAULT RIFLES



Hopefully this encapsulates some positions, and might save candidates some money otherwise spent on focus groups and advertising consultants. I don’t think they could substantively disagree with any of them, right? Moderate Republicans — ARE YOU STILL A THING? We need you!

OK, back to my apolitical primary care substack. I’m outside my lane. But I just needed to vent while reading this morning’s news on a cloudy, gloomy Saturday. Maybe you do, too?
