Ron DeSantis attempts to resurrect his image. The result? Price gouging on the taxpayers' dime. [1]

Florida Governor and presidential candidate, Ron DeSantis, Just hooked up with the Dynamo Project, which is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing home American citizens who are trapped inside nations which are at war. The result is that 270 people, mostly Americans, were brought from Israel to Florida.

I can’t say anything bad about this organization, which has conducted 602 similar missions in the past. However, this is the first time that taxpayer money was used to fund this rescue. In the past, the missions were all funded by private donations. This issue here is the cost that is being borne by the taxpayers, which was 4 million dollars for the 270 people who were brought back. For a ONE WAY trip, this comes to $14,814 per person. I just checked United Airlines, and for a ROUND TRIP from Miami to Israel the price is $1,635.00 per person. In addition, our military is already offshore and ready to pick up Americans who want out, and there is no way that would come to almost $15,000.00 per person either.
