Desperate Gym Jordan supporters resort to death threats against holdouts and harass spouses [1]

Representative Miller Meeks even voted for Jim Jordan, but it wasn’t enough.

She didn’t understand that prior loyalty means nothing if you don’t do 100% appeasement 100% of the time. Oh, the life of a Republican official.

Representative Dan Bacon didn’t vote for Gym, but his wife is the one who got harassed:

Despite his denials, does anyone believe that Gym hasn’t been encouraging his idiot followers to do this? He has never had any interest or ability to govern or lead. He doesn’t build coalitions or count votes; he just knows how to scream, threaten and harass.

I can understand why Jordan thought it would work. We are talking about moderate Republicans, the most spineless creature on the planet. These are the same people who refused to stand up to election deniers, domestic terrorists or to Trump no matter how many crimes he committed or how many times he talked about terminating the Constitution. I too thought they’d fold. They still might.

The fact that Jim Jordan got as close as he did speaks volumes about the state of the GOP. Jordan is the worst person they could have picked: he’s simply a terrible person and the most ineffective politician in history. Everything he’s tried has backfired and he’s been in office for 16 years without getting one piece of legislation passed. But the fact that he allowed kids to be raped on his watch really should have been the end of it.

More and more Republican reps and their spouses are going to be threatened as the week drags on, so we’ll see where this goes. It’s pathetic.
