Georgia school district has their lawyers publish partisan rant [1]

Georgia’s Cobb County’s school board has been on a culture-war bender recently, the most recent blow-up being that they fired a teacher for reading “My Shadow is Purple” (YouTube reading below), a book that challenges gender conformism.

This week, they just decided to embarrass themselves by posting an unprofessional diatribe in response to a legal setback, which they attribute to “leftist political activists” while whining about anyone who dares to challenge their leadership. It’s really pathetic in it’s own right, and troubling that so many people find this kind of rhetoric credible. On top of that, they apparently paid their lawyers to compose this message. To me it just reeks of never-ending culture war, where they manufacture an ideology by depicting partisan contests as some cosmic battle between good and evil.
