Well, we’re at it again. It’s Monday. And what a weekend!

Still no Speaker. And still no clear picture of what, exactly, comes next.

But the “beat sweetener” crowd was up and running with… sweeteners for beats that just don’t exist anymore. Which was kind of a funny thing to watch.

Seems the Gop Conference got together and… officially broke up with Gym Jordan. Which is always a wise idea. But I don’t know that I’ve ever seen them repudiate someone as their potential leader in quite that way. Makes Scalise look like a bit of a genius, actually.

But only by comparison.

Not by comparison to Greg Dworkin, though. He’s still looking pretty good in that contest. Even though he spent his weekend reading the news, which — for a lot of people — is actually a good way to get dumber.

He just keeps defying the odds.
